THE ASSIGNMENT
Create a joint that uses tension & flexibility to engage & disengage with either itself or another body.
Must be designed in Solidworks and 3D printed with ABS plastic.
THE FINAL DESIGN
The hollow "U" shaped bridge allows for maximum flexibility and explores the limits of ABS plastic.
These two parts can be joined in both a static and a dynamic way.
The end result is a joint that is simple, yet intuitive and effective.
